The Mechanic DW50 Copper Desolder Wick is designed to quickly remove unwanted solder from joints when used with a soldering iron.
Made of fine copper wire braid that wicks molten solder efficiently, helping you clean soldered joints, pads and components with less effort.
Specifications: Width = 2.0 mm, Length = 1.5 m. Press the heated soldering iron tip onto the braid; the molten solder will be absorbed into the braid.
Once solder is absorbed, lift the braid away; cut off the used section with nippers.
Safety / handling tips:
Only hold the braid by the grip/pack; avoid touching the heated braid or iron tip.
Do not press the iron tip against the braid for more than ~5 seconds to avoid damaging the PCB or components.
